The Lo Down - Liz Earle Well Being range

Hey Guys and Dolls,

Last week I was lucky enough to win a competition on the Ireland AM Facebook page. The prize was some lovely gifts from the Liz Earle Wellbeing range which I'm not too familiar with to be honest. I'm a big fan of the Liz Earle skincare range I'm already going to buy one of her sets with the Cleanse & Polish, Skin Tonic and Moisturiser, I'm in love with these products and they were one of the first skincare brands I tried when I started blogging which wasn't today or yesterday.
So back to the wonderful prizes that I won, I got a beautiful piece from the Liz Earle Wellbeing jewellery line which is so pretty I love it. It's called the Wild Rose bracelet and it's so delicate, I think it would work well with any outfit to be honest. It comes beautifully packaged in a sleek black box, this would be such a nice gift from someone dear to your heart. I haven't worn it just yet but I definitely will. I might even treat myself to a necklace from the collection in the future.

Next up I received the Liz Earle Well Being magazine, I actually never heard of this before now and it's jam packed with so much information. This magazine retails for €7 so it is on the pricier side of things but it's full of great content. Again it's split into sections and you know I love that. There's also a really good beauty section which I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

Lastly I received a signed copy of the Liz Earle Well Being Yearbook and I was sooo excited about this I can't put it into words. This is such a beautiful book that is layed out into sections on food and beauty, I find the beauty sections so informative. I'm definitely going to try out some of the recipes and do a blog post with pictures showing you all what I made. I think that would go down a treat I know I love foodie posts anyways. I love the cover on this book it's just so pretty and will make a really nice coffee table book aswell I think. This is the first wellbeing yearbook and I seriously hope they bring out more cause I know I'll be picking it up for sure. It retails for £25 which is pretty good for a book like this as it's so big and full of lovely things.

I was so over the moon that I won this prize it really made my week last week. I really recommend checking out Liz Earle Skincare products and her Wellbeing range, there both amazing.

Magazine Freebies - August Issue

In Easons during the week I picked up three magazine, Elle, Marie Claire and Harper's Bazaar. As I said in my previous magazine post I would never pick up these usually but there were some gorgeous freebies this month. I couldn't let them get away could I?

In Harper's Bazaar there was a Neom Organic Hand Cream. This was the priciest magazine of the bunch at €6 but I'd heard so many great things about the brand I caved and bought it. There is two scents to choose from, I went for Inspiration Violet, Chamomile & Cedarwood. At first I wasn't too gone on it to be honest but I've gotten use to the scent. It is quite nice but wouldn't be something I'd go out buy after I finish this one. The handcream itself is lovely and sinks into the skin right away, I'll probably bring this on holiday with me and use it up. The lovely Mila Kunis is looking gorgeous as always on the Elle cover. I loved her interview in the magazine it was such a great read.  A St Tropez Gradual Tan Everyday Body Moisturer mini was included with this magazine. At 75ml, it's definitely not too shabby a sample either. I got a full size of this as a gift ages ago and I love it, I've been using it so much over the Summer. As it's a gradual tan, I just pop it on at night before bed and I wake up I have lovely natural glow what more could I ask for? Last but not least I picked up Marie Claire. Whenever I get this magazine I always skip straight to the beauty pages. I have so many I want that moments, I usually end up with a wish list the size of my arm. There was a choice of three Avon mascara with this month's magazine, I went for Super Shock Max which I've yet to try. I hope I made the right decision has anyone tried it? Come to think of it I've hardly ever bought everything from Avon, I need to fix this soon I think.

Have you picked up any of these magazines?

Magazine Freebies - July Issue

I'm not one to buy alot of magazines, I have my favourites, Stellar and U but other than that I wouldn't be rushing out to get one. I do feel that certain magazines these days are taken up with more adverts than articles which I find pointless. Saying that I did buy a couple this month as they included some gorgeous freebies which I couldn't resist.

The four magazines I picked up are Marie Claire, Glamour, Instyle and Red. I have to admit the latter two I hardly ever read. In Red magazine, there was a choice between a Jemma Kidd mascara and eyeliner. I went for the I-Glamour Define Eyeliner. This product has gotten good reviews online so I'm looking forward to testing it out. With Instyle, there was a choice between a mascara and eyeliners also. I went for the mascara this time, I've tried The Body Shop's Big & Curvy in the past and I really liked it. I'm going to keep this for my trip to Manchester as I do have alot to use up. I picked up my second Ciate nail polish with Marie Claire. I got my first one with this magazine and I use it all the time. I went for the shade Bon Bon which is a gorgeous for everyday. These polishes have been almost impossible to get in Ireland in the past. They are available here now so I can see myself buying a few more. Last but not least is the Benefit freebie that alot of bloggers are talking about at the moment. I'm sure you've seen enough posts on this to last you a lifetime so I won't go on too much I promise. Glamour magazine was so hard to come by, I spotted it on my lunch break and I went for The Porefessional primer. I bought this when it first came out and I loved it, I just wish it wasn't so expensive. The price of the full sized product is the only problem for me. I was actually going to pick up a few more Glamour magazines to get a few more of these but when I went back to the shop they were gone. Just my luck! I'm going to keep this miniature for my travel bag as it is the perfect size.

Have you picked up any of these magazines?

March Magazine Freebies!

Three amazing gifts are included in Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and Glamour this month. I enjoy getting products with magazines as it's a great way to decide for yourself what products you like before forking out money for them.

Here are the three magazine gifts I got...
Last but not least in Glamour, there are four Percy & Reed hair care products to choose from. I went for the Quite Franky Flawless Finishing Polish (100ml). This is a really generous sized product, so I can see this lasting ages as you only need to apply a pea-sized to your hair. I'm expecting really good things from this as I did a review on their No Fuss Fabulousness Dry Shampoo recently which I really liked. There's also a seperate beauty guide in the magazine this month which shows gorgeous products that were used to create red carpet looks.

There's four luxury Clinique gifts to choose from in Cosmopolitan. To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of this brand. I had a bad reaction to one of their products back in my school days. I chose the magazine with the Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief. It's advertised towards people with oily skin so I'll see how it goes. I think the fact that this product can be used in different ways drew me towards it. I'll let you know how I get on with this.

Last but not least in Marie Claire, there's a full size Neal's Yard Rehydrating Rose Daily Moisture cream for normal skin. This is a brand that I've heard great things about but never tried before. I'm looking forward to trying this moisturiser but bear in mind I do have oily skin, so I don't know if this will be right for me.

What magazines have you picked up this month??

Percy & Reed No Fuss Fabulousness Dry Shampoo

Dry Shampoos aren't usually my thing at all. I've used some in the past that I've liked for a while, but they had the most overpowering scents which I can't stand. There were times that I'd spray them in my room and ended up opening the windows as the scents really get to me.  For festivals and camping, I think there great but if I have the time to wash my hair, I would do just that. Every second day I wash my hair, it's rare that it will last until the third day.

Recently I was sent some Percy & Reed products to try, No-Fuss Fabulousness Dry Shampoo (£12/€14.50) was one of them. Firstly this smells really nice, it has a light but fresh scent which is not overpowering at all. I find most of their range smells like this. Their dry shampoo is said to contain a' unique formulation that soaks up excess oil, leaving your hair looking fresh, shiny and shimmering'. I can't say it left my hair shimmering but it certainly felt fresh and looked shiny, I could see my hair lasting an extra day if needs be. When I brushed this out, it didn't leave my dark hair looking at all ashy which seemed to happen alot with prior dry shampoos I've used. This product is also great for adding volume to my hair as mine is always flat once I straighten it. This gives my gruaig a much needed boost. There is one minor problem I have and that's not with the dry shampoo, but with the packaging. When sprayed into my hair, the product itself seems to gather alot around the nozzle which could end up getting clogged. I don't see this being much of an issue though, as it doesn't take away from the product at all.

Percy & Reed have a great Youtube channel, where Paul and Adam create different hair looks using their range of products. I've learned so many tips from watching them. Also in this month's issue of Glamour magazine, there's a Percy & Reed treat included in the magazine. There are four 100ml products to choose from, a Moisturising shampoo, a Moisturising conditioner, a TLC mask or a finishing polish. I have my eye on the Quite Frankly Flawless Finising Polish. If you want to see more products that Percy & Reed have to offer, check out their website.

Will you be trying this dry shampoo? Have you already picked up Glamour magazine?

Weekly Round Up #5

Here are some my highlights from last week........

Monday I met my boyfriend in town. We went shopping and I picked up some lovely goodies.
I brought all my empties Back to MAC and picked up another lippie to add to my ever growing collection. A lustre lipstick, it's in the shade Patisserie.

I don't hear it mentioned enough  which is strange as it's a gorgeous neutral pink shade. I'm loving it so far.

While at MAC, I purchased the Mineralize Charged Water Skin Hydrating Mist from the Semi Precious. I've never tried the Fix+ spray so I snapped up this to try it out. While in town I also picked up the OPI Texas Lil Shooters Collection (not pictured above) which you can see here. After shopping for what felt like a age, we finshed off our trip by heading to Yo Sushi! were we had a lovely dinner.. Yummy!!

Tuesday As I wasnt working I spent the day studying  for my theory test and checking out college courses. I'm hoping to do Event Management in September but I haven't found a course yet that suits my schedule. I work weekday mornings so I have to do a Part-time course at night. Even though I'd probably much prefer to do a Full-time one. Who knew it was so hard to find a Part-time Event Management course...I most certainly didn't. I'm really looking forward to my theory test cause afterwards I'll be able to drive officially. I was given driving lessons for my 21st birthday way back in February which I haven't used yet. I'm really looking forward to taking them though even if I am quite nervous.

Friday I went to Hollister as it finally opened. It was so busy all day so I went down in the evening and it was like empty so I had a look around and I picked up some bits which you can check out here!. I really liked the shop and I love the layout and interior. While I was in Dundrum I also went to McCabes and picked up some goodies that were so inexpensive. I couldn't possibly leave without them.

Saturday Enroute to picking up my nephew I popped into Boots in Liffey Valley. A while ago I was told that Stila was opening a stand instore. Of course I went in to look at the stand and left with more products which I hadn't planned on doing. You can check out what I purchase here. If you haven't been to Boots in Liffey Valley it's huge and has to be the biggest one I've ever seen.

Sunday I was working 12 to 6. As I work in town I  go shopping alot which results in me spending money on little things which certainly adds up without me knowing, I arrived in a bit early so I went into Brown Thomas.  I spotted a new stand at MAC for their Sized To Go Collection. I wasn't expecting to see this instore as I heard it was just going into airports as they are travel sizes. I really like this collection as I think it's a good way to try out products and it's also handbag size.

I got the Fix+ spray (€9) and the Cleanse-Off Oil (€9) I can't wait to try these products out. I've heard such good things about the Cleanse-Off Oil so I have high expectations.

After work my boyfriend picked me up and we went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
I was so looking forward to seeing this movie and I wasn't left disappointed one bit. I really enjoyed it and most importantly it stayed true to the book. I don't want to say too much about the movie cause some of you may not have seen it yet. I was so sad to see it come to an end!! At least we have Twilight to look forward to.

I picked up this month's Marie Claire Magazine for the bus journey home. A Ciate lipgloss comes free with this issue and I love it so far. Inside the mag you also get a £10 voucher for the Ciate. That's not all on the lipgloss packaging there is also a promotional code for 15% off your total order when you shop online. If their lipgloss is anything to go by I will be picking up some more products!!

What did you girls get up to during your week??
