The Lo Down - La Roche Posay Micellar Water Ultra

Hey Guys and Dolls,

I use alot of cleansing waters as I prefer them to wipes ten times over. Lately I've been testing out the La Roche Posay Micellar Waters Ultra and yes they are amazing.
There are three versions to choose from, one for sensitive skin, one for oily skin and one for reactive skin. I have oily skin but I've been using all three and they've all been working equally good. As well as cleansing my skin they get rid of all traces of makeup there is to be seen. They are definitely up there with my favourite cleansing water Bioderma. Only a little is needed on a cotton pad to remove all my makeup.

In each bottle you get 200ml of product, considering these micellar cost €15.50 they are pretty amazing value and really affordable.

The Lo Down - La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+ Unifiant

Hey Guys and Dolls,

I've always been a fan of La Roche Posay, I've been using it for years. I've tried alot of their products over time so I was excited when I heard of their new product, Effaclar Duo + Unifiant. I couldn't wait to give it a go.
This product works the same as the orignal hero product, the only difference is that it's tinted. I was sent the light and medium shade to try. At this time of year I'd be definitely more on the lighter side of things but I'll certainly use the darker shade in the Summer months.
This has pretty good coverage and I would be happy to wear this product alone with a bit of concealer and powder. I also really like the smell of this product it's very fresh. I do really like this product it has many good benefits and my skin looks amazing when I use it. It certainly is a great new find and I'll definitely use it more in the future. I'm pretty sure it costs in and around €20 which isn't too bad as a little bit goes a long way.

28 Days of Kisses-Day 6 = Lancome's Baume in Love in A La Folie, Cherry

Today I headed along to a La Roche Posay event in town for the launch of their new product, Nutritic Intense. I met up with the lovely Leanne beforehand as we had no idea where the event was on. We got a bit lost but we ended up finding the place in the end. I'm sure you've all read her blog Thunder and Threads, I absolutely love it. The event itself was held in the RHA ,such an amazing venue! I was brought back to my school days with a science class which was very interesting indeed. I was in even kitted out in a white coat and safety goggles, how fly. I can't wait to tell you more about the brand's new innovation in the coming weeks. I headed into town to watch one of the international friendly football matches with Paddy after the launch. Woo Ireland won! I'm literally just in the door now but before I head to bed I have to show you guys what I was wearng on my lips for the day.

Yes guys I cheated this is not a lipstick but more of a tinted lip balm. It comes in a tube so I thought it deserved to be included don't you think? Baume In Love is from Lancome's Spring 2013 collection that is now in stores. It's hard to miss with the lovely Emma Watson as the face of the range. A La Folie, Cherry may look daunting in the bullet but on the lips its a whole other story, a gorgeous pink tint. Like any lipbalm this doesn't have the longest staying power so it does need to be reapplied throughout the day. It's definitely one to carry around in your handbag if you having one of those days when you can't be bothered wearing lipstick. Seriously though for Spring/Summer, I can see myself reaching for this alot. As it's balm I find it really moisturising on my lips, on a side note the packaging is really cute too. Full marks from me! I do believe the Baume in Love are limited edition and there's a choice of three other shades which I'm going to have a look at the next time I'm in House of Fraser.

I'll leave you with some snaps of the La Roche Posay launch...
Are you looking forward to hearing more about La Roche Posay's latest innovation?

SOS Save Our Skin Press Launch

Last week I attended the SOS (Save Our Skin) press launch which was hosted by La Roche Posay. The month of May is Melanoma Awareness Month, an annual global initiative that aims to promote the early detection and prevention of skin cancer. The focus this year is to raise awareness amongst men. With the horrible weather we as a country experience per year, it's hard to believe that skin cancer is the most common cancer in Ireland but sadly it's true. Even on the cloudiest of days, it's still important to wear some form of sun protection. I tend to forget to apply suncream on the hottest days, but after attending this event I hope to be more careful.

At the event La Roche Posay unveiled their new Public Awareness Video which I feel will make a big impact. Some can usually come across preachy from the get go, but this is not like that at all. For me this video shows the importance of getting regular skin checks with your GP.

When you join the SOS Save Our Skin Cause here, La Roche Posay will make a donation to the Melanoma Trust. If you haven't done your good deed for the day, this will change that as your helping to raise awareness.
