Korres Wild Rose Foundation

Korres Wild Rose Foundation is my most reached for foundation at the minute. Having used this product for a while, I think it was about time for a review.

This long wear foundation comes in 6 shades. I use the shade WRF1, it's the perfect match for me. Wild Rose Foundation leaves me with a flawless looking skin with just the right amount of coverage. It contains SPF 20 and Vitamin C which helps brighten uneven skin tone, aswell as repairing fine lines. I apply this foundation using my Sigma F80 brush using light circular motions until the product is completely blended into my skin. You can check out a picture of me wearing this foundation here. The main reason why I like this foundation is that it's looks so natural.

Now to the price. Korres Wild Rose Foundation (30ml) retails for €24 which isn't bad considering the price of some foundations out there at the moment. A little goes along way with this product and one bottle lasted me nearly 4 months.

As you can see from the picture above I've already purchased a replacement as I'm nearly all out of my first bottle.

A Shopaholic's Journey #6- Dublin Airport +Sephora

When I was in Dublin Airport heading for Barcelona I had a few things in mind that I wanted to get in Duty Free. I try to make a little list before my holidays as I find the prices are much better there. Dublin Airport have a system, Shop & Collect were you can pick up your purchases when you get pack from holidays. I used this service as with my carry on luggage I didn't have much space.

These are the Duty Free products I purchased....

MAC Studio Careblend/Pressed Powder in Medium
MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque
MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study

Yves Saint Laurent Travel Selection 'All For Eyes'
 contains
Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils
Touche Eclat
Mini Eye Makeup Remover

At the start of La Rambla in Barcelona I spotted a Sephora. I've never been to one and I have to admit I was blown away by all the makeup. I heard the stores in America are bigger and better so I'll have to visit one the next time I'm there.
Almost all the products I purchased are from Sephora's own brand and one is from Bourjois.

Bourjois Smile Enhancing Gloss in Rose Bright

Sephora Purse Spray in Pineapple Grenadine
Sephora Sun Disk Bronzing Powder in Light
Sephora Lip Atitude Lipstick in Rosy Mad (not pictured)

Sephora MoonshadowTrio in Sunbaked
Sephora 4 Shadows and Liner Palette in Almost Nude
Sephora Long Lasting Eyeshadow in Carine (Hollysayshey on YouTube recommended this eyeshadow to me and I love it.)

On the last day of our trip my boyfriend surprised me with these lovely gifts. I was surprised to see 'The Body Shop' was in Barcelona.

Yves Rocher Yellow Peach Eau De Toilette
Yves Rocher Vanilla Nourishing Lip Balm
The Body Shop 100% Natural Lip Roll On in Orange

I've never heard of the brand Yves Rocher. I love these two products, the lipbalm is amazing and smells gorgeous.

I haven't used much of these products yet but I'll let you know my thoughts on them soon.

Is there any products you'd like to see a review on??

FOTD- Barcelona Style

As I said in my 'Barcelona, I love you' post I only wore makeup on my first day in Barcelona. It was considerably hot and humid so I thought it was pointless to wear any as it just melted away by the end of the day.

I decided to opt for a natural look and went for neutral brown shadows.

Barcelona, I love you!!

After five brilliant days in Barcelona with the boyfriend we arrived home on Sunday. The weather was great while we were there maybe a bit too warm at times. I'm not going to complain though as it was a much better change from the doom and gloom of Dublin.

We squeezed in visiting famous tourist attractions as well as doing a spot of shopping (coming up in a separate post). Our hotel, Ciutat del Prat was beautiful, it was a short metro ride away from Passeig de Gracia (major avenue and shopping area) and La Rambla. I went to Sagrada Familia and Casa Batllo, two of Gaudi's designs. The architecture of the buildings are amazing and like nothing I've ever seen before. I could see why everyone loves this City.

I had such an amazing time in Barcelona. I would go back in a heartbeat and it's a place I'd recommend to anyone to visit. I found the people so friendly and helpful. Your almost guaranteed fabulous weather too. I only wore makeup once when I was over there as it was so humid. At night, I hardly came home with makeup on my face anyway.

The only downside of my holiday was getting tonnes of insect bite. I didn't notice how bad they were until I got home. After sitting in pain for a day, I ventured down to the doctor only to be told that I had an reaction to the bites! Boo!! Now I'm on a few different antibiotics so hopefully I'm on the mend.

Here are a few photos of my holiday....

Have you been to Barcelona? How did you like it?

Revlon Custom Eyes Palette

I love this palette!! I bought it a little over a week ago and it has come in handy. The sturdy palette contains five shades which is perfect for when your in work or on the go.

There are 6 palettes to choose from each comes with four shadows and a liner. Naturally Glamourous is the palette I picked. It has gorgeous brown neutral colours which I love. They create a natural look which would look great for day or night.

I've been using it so much lately for a daytime look for work. All the shadows are very pigmented and blend effortlessly. A diagram on the back of the palette shows you where all the shades should go on your eye. There is also a bar with numbers that corresponds to each eyeshadow so it's hassle free.

Here are some swatches of the palette...

I can see myself getting more of these palettes as I've been so impressed with this one. All the shadows are super pigmented. This would be perfect to bring on holidays instead of bringing big bulky palettes that may take up extra space in your bag.

What do you think of the Revlon Custom Eyes Palette??

What's in my Travel Makeup Bag??

As I'm going away to Barcelona tomorrow I wanted to do this post for you girlies. I love reading other bloggers 'What's in my Bag?' posts cause I find them pretty informative and I admit I'm a little nosey!

As I'm not checking in a bag it leaves me pretty restricted in what I can bring on the plane. There's also the fact I'm going for five days so I doubt I'll be wearing that much makeup. I'll be too busy seeing all the sights that Barcelona has to offer.

I got this bag in Debenhams at the start of the Summer. It was €18 but it was greatly reduced to €9 so course I had to pick it up. I didn't know I was going on holidays but I'm glad I picked it up now.

It opens to show two compartments, one is see through. I really like that feature as it's easier to find things which means I don't have to go pulling everything out. I keep my makeup brushes in the other compartment.

Garenier 2 in 1 Tinted Eye Roll-on
Korres Wild Rose Foundation SPF 20 in WRF1

Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara (sample) in Excessive Black

Looking through the stuff that I'm bringing it doesn't seem like too much. This is mostly makeup that I would use on a regular basis. I like how I still have extra space in this bag, knowing me I'll be making a few purchases when I'm away.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Talk to you girlies when I get back from my holiday.

Weekly Round Up #7

Here what's I got up to last week...

Monday I got these lovely goodies from Vivo Cosmetics. This brand has just launched in Tesco stores in the UK. I've seen great reviews on their products so far. I'm looking forward to trying them out for myself. I'll have a review up on these products when I get back from my holidays.

Tuesday As it's my boyfriend's 23rd birthday this month I knew I had to get him something special. As well as getting him some other bits I also got tickets for Batman Live in The 02. The ads for this show on Tv look amazing so I'm rather excited about going. It looks like Cirque De Soleil style show with Batman in it.

Wednesday I purchased one of the Rimmel 'Kate Moss Collection' Lippies in Boots. All the lipsticks looked great from vibrant to neutral shades there was so much choice. I ended up going for shade no3 which is a neutral shade (swatched below). It seemed to be one of the more popular ones as they were nearly all out of it in two stores.

Saturday My sister moved into her first apartment which is very exciting. I went to see the place and it looked amazing. I can see myself spending loads of time over there. My nephew seems to love it too as it's so big and he has plenty of room to run around in.

The rest of my week was taken up with running small errands that I needed to get done before my holiday. I'm going to Barcelona tomorrow, the last week has flew by and of course I can't wait to go now. I will definitely take plenty of pictures while I'm them so expect a post when I get back.

What did you get up to during last week?

Little Bits for my Holiday!!

With only nine days to go until my holiday, when I was out shopping with my mom I decided to pick up some stuff I may need while I'm away.

As I'm only going to Barcelona for five days I'm only bringing carry on luggage.  Being limited to what I can put in my bag I decided to hit Boots to pick up some travel size products. I have everything sorted for my holiday at this stage so I was delighted to get these bits out of the way.

Boots have a offer at the moment on travel sizes. If you buy five products you get the cheapest one free. This may not seem like the best offer but at the end of the day every little counts.

This is what I picked up....

Glad Hair Day Shampoo, Glad Hair Day Conditioner and Clean On Me Shower Gel
(All Soap & Glory)

I've used two of the above products before, Glad Hair Day Shampoo and Clean On Me Shower Gel. I got them in a Soap & Glory Christmas gift set and I can remember really liking them both. I also picked up a mini scrub and body butter from this brand which you can see in my last haul. Have you used Glad Hair Day Conditioner? What are your thoughts?

Charles Worthington Frizz Free Smoothing Creme

I haven't tried any Charles Worthington products before so i don't know what to expect. I have extremely frizzy hair which goes out of control. I'm hoping this product works wonders.

When I was at the till I was given a €7.50 off No7 voucher. I love getting these and always pick up a few products that I wouldn't usually buy. My mom treated me to the following goodies I got from No7.

No7 Lash Adapt Mascara and No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow Palette in Good Earth

I've heard such good things about No7's Lash Adapt mascara. I really can't wait to try it out. I've used a few No7 mascaras and I've always been impressed with them.

Before I left Boots, I spotted this Revlon eyeshadow palette. I hadn't seen it before so it must of been relatively new in. I fell in love with it right away.

Revlon Custom Eyes Palette in Naturally Glamourous

This palette contains all neutral colours and I've been using it daily. I love it and I'll be doing a review very soon.

Would you girls like to see a "What's in my Travel Bag?" post before I go on holidays??

August Favourites

Wow Summer is finally over. Surprised how fast this one went, pity I was working for most of it. I have quite a few favourites from August so let's get started!!

Hollister Laguna Beach Body Spray
This product has a gorgeous peach scent which smells amazing. I love it. This will be a definite repurchase when I'm done. There is a deal on in Hollister were you can get two of their products from this range for €18. It beats paying €12 for one.

Garnier 2-in-1 Tinted Eye Roll-On
I find this very refreshing on my eyes and It also doubles up as a undereye concealer. The shade I chose is the one for fair skin tones. The size of this product is good as you can chuck it in your bag for touch ups throughout the day.

EOS Lip Balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew
I got two of these lipbalms in a beauty swap with Chie (MakeupLand2011).  EOS Lip Balms aren't available in Ireland at present so I was happy to get the chance to try them out. They are very moisturising, Honeysuckle Honeydew is my favourite one. I've been using mine daily and they seem to be lasting forever. I also think the packaging is unusual which makes me love it even more.

Smashbox Blush Rush in Everlasting
I've been using this peachy pink blush quite a lot over the Summer months. It gives you a really nice soft matte finish. I got this blush in the Smashbox Limitless Collection. This was one of my favourite products from the set along with the eyeshadow palette. It's a Limited Edition collection so get it while you still can.

MAC Paint Pot in Painterly
I use this as an eyeshadow base everyday before I put my eye makeup on. As you can see I'm almost out of it. I got this for my 21st birthday back in February so it's lasted a very long time. What paint pot should I get next?

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzer in Medium Matte
I bought this product three weeks ago, it's a part of The Body Shop's Honey Bronze range. It has become a firm favourite of mine and is always in my makeup bag. This matte bronzer is not only great for contouring but it also gives you a natural glow. You can also see my mini pink camera in this photo!

MAC Fix+
This is a part of the MAC Sized To Go Collection. I made two purchases from it, the other product being the Cleanse Off Oil. To be honest, I wasn't too impressed by the Cleanse Oil but I love Fix+. Not only does it set my makeup but it is also very refreshing. At 30ml in size it's also perfect for travelling.

Korres Shea Butter & Vitamins Hair Mask
I straighten my hair daily for work so I like nothing more than to give my hair some R&R. I've been using this product for about two months now and I love it. It leaves my hair moisturised and also looking great. A little goes a long way with this product. I like the way the packaging is simple, so it lets the product do the talking.

Radox Shower Smoothies in Island Indulgence
I love Radox Shower Smoothies. Island Indulgence is the newest product in their range. It has a nice fruity scent that anyone would like. It's amazing.

Hope you enjoyed this post. If there are any products you'd like to see a reviewed, please leave a comment below.

What have been your favourite products throughout August??
