Marc Jacobs for Diet Coke Launch in BT2

I love when Diet Coke come out with new limited edition packaging for their traditional glass bottles.  I already have quite the collection of them in my room, they look gorgeous plus they make fabulous bookends. The latest designer to collaborate with Diet Coke is none other than Marc Jacobs and I couldn't wait to see the new designs. Diet Coke have done really impressive collaborations in the past , remember Karl Lagerfield and Jean Paul Gaultier? I was expecting something big this time around in celebration of Diet Cokes 30th Anniversary and needless to say I wasn't disappointed.
I headed along to BT2 on Grafton Street last week to check out the new collaboration with my lovely blogger buddy Sian. We were rushing against the clock on the way in so I was surprised we made it on time.  As we walked into the BT2, the tunes were playing and the atmosphere was already electric. There was a selection of delicious cocktails being served but I steered clear of them as I had to rush off to college straight after the event. I'm into my final month now and I can't start missing lectures at such a crucial time. Pity though as the cocktails looked so good, aw well I stuck to the Diet Coke. I did have plenty of fun in the photo booth on site, even if the pictures that came out weren't my finest. Throughout the evening there were models showcasing the new Marc by Marc Jacobs collection and they were absolutely stunning, I loved all the different looks. I was surprised to see that my work buddy was one of the models and she did such an amazing job, it was so nice seeing her. At the event I also met and got my picture taken with the Diet Coke hunk Andrew Cooper, boy is he hot! You may know him as the gardener in the new ads on TV. Everyone was eager to get there picture taken with him. I seriously don't think the guy had a minute. I look extremely short in the picture next to him and I'm wearing boots. Oh my I think I may be shrinking or I'm not as tall as I once thought!
The Marc Jacobs for Diet Coke collection consists of three limited edition designs inspired by the 80's, 90's and 00's. It states on each bottle which decade the design is influenced by. This time around I seriously can't choose a favourite, I really like them all. They're all very different and already take pride of place beside the other bottles in my Diet Coke collection.

What do you think of the new Diet Coke & Marc Jacobs collaboration? Would love to hear your thoughts?

Diet Coke By Jean Paul Gaultier Tour

I'm a big music lover, so when I was asked to DJ at the Diet Coke Jean Paul Gaultier Tour Bus on Saturday I jumped at the opportunity. There was numerous stops all over Ireland on the tour, with Dun Laoighre being the last. I was lucky enough to go along to the launch of the tour bus last month with my friend Sinead, so I had a good idea of what the layout was going to be like. The weather couldn't of been nicer on the day the sun was shining down which made for a lovely Summer atmosphere. I love Dun Laoighre as you could probably tell from lots of my vlog style posts, I'm always out there so it was nice that it took place on the East pier. When I first was asked to DJ this event the first person I thought of was my brother Ger, he's going to be doing a Music Production course in college in September so I knew it would be his sort of thing. I'm glad I brought him along with me as he knew exactly what he was doing, even though I knew the song choices I chose were probably not his cup of tea. He's more of a Crass and The Sex Pistols kind of guy and I put One Direction and Rihanna on the CD, so you can understand why it wasn't his sort of music. It wasn't an issue in the end as Ger had such a blast and even ended up singing along to some of the tunes himself. Typical me I left it kind of last minute making the set music on Friday night, so I was happy everything went off without a glitch. All the songs I put on the CD were songs that I love and listen to all the time on my Ipod, with some new stuff in there also. One of my favourite songs of the moment is Marina & the Diamonds Primadonna, what a song I love it. I may have to treat myself to her new album, I loved the first so much and it was constantly on repeat on my Ipod. I took only a few pictures on the day as Ger isn't the most photogenic person in the world.

Jean Paul Gaultier Night & Day Collection for Diet Coke

Diet Coke's latest collaboration is with Jean Paul Gaultier. The result is the Day and Night collection which features two beautiful bottles with Night and Day designs. This release coincides with the launch of Jean Paul Gaultier Summer fragrances, some would call that perfect timing. Each individual bottle costs €2.45 but me being me I purchased the gift box, which contains two bottles and a limiter edition Diet Coke glass. It cost €23.95, which in my opinion was pretty pricey but I have bought other Diet Coke collaborations in the past. In other words I needed this for my collection. I love the cylinder shaped box everything comes in as it has little coke bottle windows where you can see what's inside. The design is also really pretty so this will certainly be staying on my book shelf so everyone can see it. These lovely bottles are exclusive to Harvey Nichols, so pop down to your local store if you want to have a look at them. When purchasing these I was told that Harvey Nichols Dundrum is having a launch night tomorrow (Thursday 19th of April) for this collection. It's on from 6pm to 9pm so I may see some of you there.

What do you think of Diet Coke's latest collaboration??

Diet Coke Limited Edition Collection by Karl Lagerfeld 2011

A few months ago, this collaboration was announced and ever since I've been keeping my eyes on it!!:)
This is Karl Lagerfield'd second collection for Diet Coke. Apparently only three thousand bottles were made so they are due to sell out pretty quick and are exclusive to Harvey Nicholls.
I purchased the Collector's Box which is €11.95 and contains all 3 bottles. I really like the prism shaped box as all the bottles fit in perfectly at each angle.

I took a few pictures so you can check it out for yourselves.

All the bottles feature Karl Lagerfied's recognisable silouette and have pretty pink caps. I love the bold pink design of the last bottle as it brings alot of colour to the collection.
