The Lo Down - Urban Naked Ultimate Basics Palette

Hey Guys and Dolls,

Wow when this palette was released I knew I had to get my hands on it. The Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette was released in 2016 and it is by far my favourite palette I'd know as I basically have all of them. This sleek palette is so pretty I adore the rose goldesque packaging it have a great size mirror which is great for when your on the go.
The palette consists of twelve new and exclusive matte neutrals which are so buttery and pigmented. I just love it. I do own a lot of eyeshadow palettes I'm not going to lie so I try to use this alot. When I stay in my boyfriends this is my go to and I usually bring it as it's so versatile. The palette also comes with a pretty good blending and smudger brush which is way better than alot of mediocre brushes that are in some palettes. My favourite shades in this palette are extra bitter and lethal I think they are both very wearble and are so pigmented, they are amazing for a great smokey eye for day or night you decide. My go to look is Blow on the brow bone as a highlight, Nude all over lid, Extra Bitter in the crease and Lethal blended into the crease and outer corner. This look is ace and I've rocked it alot it's what I'm wearing in the picture below.
I think this is a great asset to any makeup lovers collection, there's such a great array of shades and countless eye looks to create.

What is your favourite Naked palette?

Naked 2 Palette!

After coming up with tonnes of reasons why I didn't need this palette, I caved and bought it. To be honest I didn't need much persuasion. When I first heard the Naked 2 Palette was being released I wasn't too keen on purchasing. It seemed so similar to the original I didn't see the point in wasting my money. I'm glad I bought it now as I feel that I'll definitely use this more than I did the previous palette.

I'm not going to go into too much detail on the palette as I think the blogosphere is overloaded with reviews and swatches at the moment. I'm going to give you just a few reasons why I like it so much.

Naked Palette 2 comes with twelve eyeshadows, five of which are exclusive to this palette only. Half Baked is the only crossover shade between the two palettes. Pistol and Verve are my most used shades from the palette I love them. I prefer Naked 2  as it has more cool toned browns compared to the original palette that had warm browns.

This palette comes with a dual ended brush and a minature lipgloss. I really like the brush, definitely will be a nice addition to my collection. On the other hand I'd rather a primer potion came with the palette instead of  a lipgloss.I don't particularly like the applicator on this product, I guess it will come in handy in my makeup bag if I'm stuck.

Now for the packaging, I've heard so many mixed opinions on it. First and foremost I like it as it's very sturdy. I know this won't ever open in my bag and dispense shadows everywhere. The bigger mirror is a good idea. I'd only use this if I was in desperate need of a mirror while travelling or out and about. It's really not a make or break component of the palette for me. The only thing that bothers me about the tin casing is if I accidently let it drop, the palette would be end up dented. I don't want to test this theory out either.

At the end of the day it all depends on what your preferance is. If you like your warm browns stick with the original Naked Palette. If like me you like cool browns go for the Naked 2 Palette!
