The Lo Down - NYX Sweet Cheeks Palette

Hey Guys and Dolls,

My boyfriend Daragh went on holidays a week or so ago and we met up the day after he came back. We went to Dundrum and he bought me some bits and pieces from NYX Cosmetics, the beautiful Sweet Cheeks palette was one of my gifts. I've always wanted to purchase this palette so I was delighted when Daragh bought it for me.
The palette contains 8 shades and retails for in and around €23 which I think is a good value for what you get. This palette is so pigmented, it's amazing. I'm in love with all the shades, their so pretty. I don't think I could pick a favourite to be honest. I think this palette would be great for travelling as it contains so much and the packaging is very sturdy which is really good.

As you already know I really like NYX Cosmetics as it's very affordable and this is another amazing product from them.

The Lo Down - Too Faced Love Flush Blushes

Hey Guys and Dolls,

I like a nice blush, there's nothing like wearing a nice natural blush that gives a hint of colour to the cheeks. I recently got the chance to review two from Too Faced, a brand that I've been loving lately.
The blushes they sent me are from the Love Flush blush range. They are said to be long lasting 16 hour blushes. I wouldn't say they do that but they stay on the cheeks for ages during the day. The two shades I got are Justify my Love a beautiful baby pink and Love Hangover a lovely coral shade. I like both of these shades equally they give a nice hint of colour to the cheeks. They are soo pigmented aswell.
I love the packaging on these products, they remind me of Polly Pockets from back in the day, so cute They're magnetic aswell so rest assured they will not open in your makeup bag which is always good to know. I do think these products would look amazing as a part of anyones makeup collection. I definitely want to pick up some more soon. These blushes retail for €30 so they are on the expensive side but they're definitely worth looking into if you want to add a new blush to your collection.

Fashionista Custom Palettes

On my trip to Manchester in July, I popped into Superdrug on the look out for some new products. We do have them in Ireland but there is a wider range of products and brands in the UK stores to choose from. I went to a few different Superdrugs while I was there, but I ended up picking up the most stuff in the first one which was their Manchester Picadilly store. The brands I was drawn to the most were Fashionista, Sleek and Look Beauty, their products don't seem to be available in the Dublin store yet. Suprisingly I was quite reserved and I didn't buy as much as I though I would of done. I'm still testing out most of the products so I don't have too much to report back on. One of the products I have been getting quite alot of use out of so far is Fashionista's Custom Design Palette. I've seen alot of great reviews so I couldn't wait to try one myself. I went for two blushes (cinnamon & butterscotch) and two eyeshadows (Nude Glimmer & Brunette Bombshell), all quite neutral shades that I knew I would get alot of use out them. I went for the black palette as it looks super sleek, it is also the perfect size for my makeup bag when I'm on the go. As prices go, this was a bargain at £5 for the palette and £4  for each individual shade. There is a great selection of eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers and highlighters to choose from so you can mix & match to your hearts content. The mirror on the palette is such a good size, not an essential for me but still great to have as you can see from the picture below. I was only unhappy with the eyeshadow Brunette Bombshell, as I find it to be quite chalky which results in a lot of unwanted fallout but once blended it does look alright. Both the blushes I bought are matte and I've been using them a hell of alot, there just so wearable and very pigmented, which for the price is amazing.

I was surprised when I got back to my hotel to find a email from the brand themselves, asking did I want to try some bits from their range. They sent me another custom palette* with a random selection of eyeshadows/blushes along with their new brow kit* (review to come later). I love getting random selections of shades as they may not be ones I'd usually go for but I end up using them alot. I received a blush (London), two bronzer (LA & Rome) and a eyeshadow (Trend-setter). The latter is one of their new baked shadows, the shade isn't one I'd usually go for but you could work into a night time look. The baked blush and bronzer, LA and London are beautifully pigmented, they do have a light shimmer which I love and gives a nice glow to the skin. The matte bronzer, Rome is great on my milk bottle skin so it's definitely not too dark and it's certainly buildable.

I really think a selection of drugstore brands have stepped up their game lately and have brought out great additions to their range of products. Fashionista is no different and I can't wait to try some more bits from the brand. The only problem I have with these palettes is that it's almost impossible to remove the pans once you put them in. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong but I don't think its rocket science to remove a pan from a palette, like how hard could it be to take them out.

Have you tried anything from Fashionista? What products have stood out for you?

ELF Haul

During the week, I recieved my Elf order in the post. A while ago I took advantage of their 50% off offer which I'm sure everyone heard about at the time.

I was so excited to get the goodies I purchased.

 Burgundy Train Case
Mineral Lipstick in Nicely Nude
Single Eyeshadow in Pebble
Single Eyeshadow in Amethyst
Studio Conditioning Lip Balm in Mellow Melon
Blush in Tickled Pink
Studio 11 Piece Brush Set

I was left a little disappointed with my order. Some of the products were faulty.
The Mineral Lipstick I ordered was broken in the box.

While the Slanted Foundation brush in the set was bent out of shape.

I've been in contact with ELF's customer service so hopefully I get it sorted. I will keep you girlies up to date on the issue.
Other than that I've been loving everything in my order. I like the ELF brushes especially the powder brush.
Is their any particular ELF product in this post you'd like to see reviewed??

Beauty Swap With Laura aka FitznBitz!

I love Beauty Swaps it's a good way to try out products that you've never seen or wouldn't necessarily try as it may not be your go-to product. I would so recommend doing one if you haven't already. Even though this is my second swap I still get excited cause it's such a surprise seeing what people have picked out for you.

I recently did a swap with my fellow Irish beauty blogger, Laura (Fitz N Bitz). She is such a big fan of Inglot Cosmetics like myself. If you haven't seen her blog already you should definitely have a look ( I will also leave her YouTube channel below).

Here are the lovely goodies Laura sent me.
Everything was wrapped so nicely. I really didnt want to open it:)

17 Eyeshadow in Rose Quartz

I've been using this eyeshadow quite alot lately as a all over eye colour. Sadly it broke in the post but it hasn't stop me from using it one bit.
Now we have two Collection 2000 products

Collection 2000 Blush in Bashful

Unfortunately, I've just been so busy as of late I haven't got to use this blusher that much. The shade name Bashful, reminds me so much of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which I suppose it's meant to:)

Collection 2000 Lock N Hold Lipgloss in Rock Steady 3

For me, this product is a totally different shade in the bottle than it is on my lips. In the bottle, it looks like a light peach gloss. On the lips, I'm left with a gorgeous light pink gloss which I love.

Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Rose Petal

This is such a lovely light pink lipstick and will be perfect for the summer.

MAC Glaze Lipstick in Hue

I've seen this on so many beauty blogs so I was so happy when I seen Laura had sent me it. A while ago, I was going to buy this lipstick but it was out of stock which shows how popular it is. I think this shade is so wearable and it's a lipstick that I think would fit nicely into anybody's collection.

Here is a quick swatch of the two lipsticks above

L2R-Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Rose Petal + MAC Glaze Lipstick in Hue

Last but not least Laura sent me this lovely card:):)

Thanks so much Laura for taking part in this with me. I really love everything you got me. I hope you enjoy your products too.

If you girls have done a beauty swap definitely leave the links below as I'd love to check them out:)
