The Lo Down - Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream

Hey Guys and Dolls,

Fragrance is such a personal thing I used to work in Molton Brown and it was so hard to choose a scent out for customers for gifts as you and they might like one scent but the person that they are buying the gift for might like something totally different. Sometimes I think its better to get little tester sample sizes before you make the plunge into buying an expensive perfume.
Scent of a dream was released last year and it is the first Charlotte Tilbury fragrance. It is quite a unusual scent  which I haven't smelled anything like yet. I like it though. The fragrance has top notes of Lemon, Peach and Black Pepper, middle notes of  Jasmine, Frankincense, Tuberose and Violet and the base notes are Fire Tree, Iso E Super, Patchouli and Ambroxan. A mix that I'm going to be honest I hadn't heard of most of the notes from before but they work together well. Only a few spritzes goes a very long way which means that you should make sure not to spray too much. This scent smells amazing when it's applied right though. I love the packaging on this product its so precious and luxurious and it looks pretty beautiful on my makeup shelf. I'm actually wearing this scent tonight for my birthday dinner because I just like it soo much!
For €89 this is on the pricier side of fragrances so it's on the more expensive side of fragrances I would usually go for. If your in the market for the new scent I'd recommend going to your local Charlotte Tilbury counter and asking for a sample as I'm sure they would oblige. If it is a fragrance you like you should treat yourself you won't be disappointed. I'm really happy with this fragrance launch from Charlotte Tilbury and I hope it won't be there last either.

Have you tried this scent? What did you think?

The Lo Down - Zoella Secret Scenta Set

Hey Guys and Dolls,

I love when some of my favourite bloggers do well for themselves, beauty lines, fashion collections, books and more. It shows that working extremely hard pays off in the blogging world. One of my favourite bloggers is Zoella also known as Zoe Sugg. Her You Tube channel is phenomenal, full of amazing content that if you haven't checked out already you definitely should.
I adore her beauty line which she launched a couple of years ago, the products are great. Over Christmas she brought out some lovely festive sets and Secret Scenta is one of them. It contains four miniature 15ml fragrances in the cutest bottles from all Zoella's collection including the festive offering Bake my Day which I love. It smells so christmassy but I'm sure you could use it all year round. These fragrances come in a wide range of scents, Blissful Mistful is my favourite it's a soft feminine scent great for everyday. Even though all these fragrances are mini I'm sure they'll last for ages.
If you can still get your hands on one of these I'd definitely recommend it. It's such a lovely set and it's so nice to have miniatures to carry around in your handbag instead of lugging around a big full sized bottle.

What do you think of the Zoella beauty range?

The Lo Down - Zara Black Amber Eau de Toilette

Hey Guys and Dolls,

My boyfriend is a huge fan of Zara aftershaves, he has a pretty collection of them. He always smells so nice which is a good thing so I have Zara to thank for that. When his family bought me a Zara perfume for Christmas last year I was beyond excited. Black Amber is a floral and oriental scent, it has a hint of vanilla too that you can definitely smell aswell. It's a strong scent that is not at all overpowering.
The fragrance comes in a very pretty sleek black bottle which would look amazing on any beauty lovers vanity. It may not be travel friendly but you can always decant them into a travalo which are so handy. I always take them on holidays with me and you can also mix fragrance, to me that is pretty cool indeed.
For just under €10 for 100ml you really can't go wrong with this beautiful scent. I already can't wait to try some more fragrances from Zara. After trying this scent I'm expecting great things from the next one I test out in store. I think this would make a really nice gift as it's reasonably priced and smells just amazing.

What's your favourite Zara fragrance?

Fave Perfume of the Moment - Fleur d'Osmanthus Fragrance

Hi guys,

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I've just been busy dealing with alot of stuff but I'm back again. I've really missed blogging as it's such a good outlet and I have so many ideas for my blog. I'm writing this post  about a scent that I've been loving lately that hasn't been out of my handbag. The scent I'm talking about is Roger & Gallet's. If your new to the brand I'll give you some background, Roger & Gallet is the leading parisian perfume distiller in France. First off I love the packaging it's pretty and simple which in my eyes lets the product itself do all the talking.
This fragrance also comes in a  bigger 100ml size which I know I'll probably pick up for myself soon as I absolutely love the scent it's so soft and delicate. The scent is also available in a body sorbet, soaps and lotion and shower gel (which I'll be talking about in a later post.)

If like me and you feel spoiled for choice with the wide rnage of fragrances to choose from you can take the fragrance diagnosis quiz on the Roger & Gallet website. Once the questions it will then reveal the fragrance that would suit you best which I think is a fab idea.

The 30ml size retails for €19.90 which I think is pretty reasonable considering the prices of some fragrances out there at the moment and I know this size bottle will last ages aswell.

Until my next post,
