Radox Brazilian Fusion

There's always Radox products in my shower at all times, from my Mom to my brother everyone has their favourite product from the brand. Mine is their amazing Shower Smoothies, Tropical Tranquility in particular, it smells of coconut so it was always going to be a winner with me. After a busy day I like nothing more than going home and having a relaxing shower.Yes I'm one of the small percentage of people who don't have a bath in their houses. It's not an issue as there are so many nice shower products on the market, though I would love to be able to buy Lush bath bombs now and again.

Radox's Brazilian Fusion* is the brands Limited Edition Summer offering, and it smells so good. It comes in a shower gel and bath soak so there is definitely something for everyones tastes. With a scent that reminds me of holidays, how couldn't I possibly like this. I've been using this most mornings before work if I get up early enough, as it has one of those scents that instantly wakes you up. It contains an exotic blend of dragon fruit and camu camu berry, I had never heard of the latter before but apparently it's found in the Amazonian Rainforest. Having left this in my shower, I went back today to see that someone was after using it. The culprit this time was Dad, who absolutely loves this product and said how much he liked the smell. Another thing I like about this product is the packaging, most Radox shower gels have the pull up hooks which are so handy for the gym or for the shower shelve. I can see Radox's Brazilian Fusion Shower Therapy* going pretty fast as everyone in the family likes this one. I think I may need to stop leaving my products in the shower.

Do you like Radox? What product have you tried from the brand?

Philosophy Field of Flowers Shower Gel & Body Lotion

Philosophy is a brand that hasn't been widely available in Ireland in recent years. A month ago I was rambling over Arnotts when I came across a Philosophy stand. I was with my boyfriend at the time so I don't think he really understood my excitement at all. Of course I spent ages smelling their shower gels, I ended up falling in love with Cinnamon Buns. Paddy treated me to it and I've been using it repeatedly in the shower. Wow if you like Cinnamon as much as I do you'll definitely appreciate this. Philosophy also have a range of skincare products which I've read good reviews on so perhaps I might try them in the future.

The latest Philosophy product I've tried is their Field of Flowers Shower Gel (€17.50) and I love it. The best way I can describe this is Spring/Summer in a bottle. It has a beautiful floral scent which I think will be very popular. The packaging also stands out and fits in very nicely with the name of the product. Like all Philosophy shower gels this is a 3 in 1 product and can be used as a bubble bath, shower gel and shampoo. I've been using mine mostly as a shower gel as I have a sensitive scalp that tends to flare up. I've heard from other bloggers that it's a brilliant shampoo and they can't recommend it enough. This shower gel also comes in a body lotion (€25.00) which is ginormous. I really don't see this running out for a while. The product itself sinks into my skin quickly without leaving me feeling greasy at all. My skin is left smelling amazing and feeling soft. This ties in perfectly with the Field of Flowers Shower Gel as it have the same heavenly scent. It comes with a pump which means you can control how much product you use and it makes for easy application. Both of these would make a lovely gift for someone. My Mom is absolutely in love with the scent so I may be picking her one up for her birthday shortly. Both products may come across as a bit pricey but have you seen the size of them? They are sure to last for ages or if you have a family like mine probably not as long!

What's your favourite product from Philsophy? What should I try next?

Some Lush Gems...

At this stage you must be fed up of me talking about Lush, I love this brand too much. I  started using their products way before I started blogging so needless to say I've bought alot. I wanted to do this post to show everyone a couple of Lush products I currently love. This is in no order whatsoever, I think each product is equally as good as each other.

Creamed Almond & Coconut Smoothie
Anyone who reads my blog will have heard me mention this product on a number of occasions. I love it! Basically a shower cream, a little bit goes a long way so this tub will last for ages. Creamed Almond & Coconut Smoothie has a really nice vanilla scent which is ironic considering the name of the product. After using this in the shower, my skin is always left feeling so soft. I've repurchased this so many times already. My Mom got me the one I'm using at the moment in the Lush Sale at Christmas, so I'm unsure what the price was. I heard a while ago that Creamed Almond & Coconut Smoothie was being discontinued. It's not on the website, so maybe it has been. I'll check the next time I'm in Lush. If you can get your hands on this I'd definitely recommend it.

Ocean Salt
I haven't had this too long but it has already made it into my favourites. After using this my face is always left feeling really nice and soft. I don't know how this would work on people with sensitive skin as it is a very coarse scrub. I love the smell of this, it reminds me of the seaside, which makes sense as it has sea salt in it. Don't get this in your mouth when your using it, you can probably imagine how horrible tastes. Ocean Salt is available in two sizes, I purchased the smaller of the two as I wanted to see did I like it first. It's safe to say that I'll be certainly repurchasing it.

It's Raining Men Shower Gel
Having only a shower in my house I do tend to buy alot of Lush shower gels, this is the first of my favourites. It's Raining Men started off as a limited edition Valentines product, now it's available all year round. It has a very sweet, floral scent, basically Honey I Shrunk the Kids soap but as a shower gel. The bottle in the picture above is the smallest bottle you can get, I think this one is great for staying in a friend's house.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel
I love Snow Fairy, it's a limited edition Christmas product. I like the idea that it's only available at Christmas time, as I will always know there'll be something I'll enjoy in the range. The shower gel itself has bits of blue glitter running through it which looks very pretty. It's not noticeable after showering which is a good thing as I doubt anyone wants to look like a glitter ball. Snow Fairy have a really nice sweet scent, it's so yummy!! Again the size I have here is the smallest size you can get (100g). I did stock up on Snow Fairy over Christmas so I don't think I'll run out anytime soon.

Sexy Peel Soap
Wow this soap smells amazing. If you tried Snow Globe over Christmas this has a similar scent. It contains a blend of orange, lime and lemon. So as you can imagine it's very citrusy. The soap itself contains fruit rinds which makes it stand out from the other soaps. Sexy Peel is great in the morning as it always leaves me wide awake with it's refreshing scent. It's my favourite Lush soap by far, I love it. My family has also caught on to how nice this soap is. Everytime my Mom's in town she picks it up too. For example during Lush's Christmas Sale my Mom picked up loads of Snow Globe soap, because she knew how much it smelt like Sexy Peel. We still have alot of this soap floating around the house and were coming into March now. Sorry there's no picture but I don't have any at the moment, I'm going to have to get some the next time I'm in Lush. I know Lush Soaps can be quite expensive, but they can cut you off a chunk from the block, Sexy Peel is usually available in gift sets with other products.

What's your favourite products from Lush?? What should I try next??

Kings & Queens Bath and Body Collection!

Having been around for a while, Kings & Queens is a brand I haven't heard much about. The products are inspired by herbs and spices used by Kings and Queen of times gones by (hence the name). The packaging design is unique and stands out which I was immediately drawn to. The range itself features everything from lovely soaps to gorgeous body butters. I was lucky enough recently to be sent a few products from the brand to try.

Kings & Queens King Sumatra Pepper Bergamot Shower Gel
King Sumatra Pepper Bergamot is my least favourite from the products I tried, mainly because I'd consider this more of a men's scent.. If I tried a different scent I'd probably like it more. The showergel is great and lathers rather nicely. The scent stays a while after showering.

Kings & Queens Nefertiti Honey Body Milk
Does exactly what I'd expect a body milk to do. Nefertiti Honey is extremely light but also moisturising, it left my skin so soft. This smells amazing like pure honey. I'm a big fan of it! At first it may come across a bit strong for some people but it settles into a nice soft scent.

Kings & Queens Tsar Peter Tobacco Soap
When my Mom seen this soap, it reminded her of the carbolic soap she used when she was younger. I was really intrigued to see what this was going to smell like. I thought this would be a scent I wouldn't like. I was expecting it to be very strong, but in fact it was just musky. Still not something I'd use on a regular basis,I think Tsar Peter Tobacco Soap is more aimed at men. The soap gives a good lather and this size is sure to last for ages.

Kings & Queens Queen Isabella Cinnamon Orange Shimmering Body Milk
This is exactly the same as Nefertiti Honey Body Milk except it contains a light shimmer. Queen Isabella's Cinnamon Orange Shimmering Body Milk would be great to use before nights out over tan or on holidays as it leaves you with a gorgeous glow. The Cinnamon Orange scent is my favourite scent of the bunch, it's just smells so amazing. I very tempted to purchase some more Cinnamon Orange scented products from the range.

Kings & Queens Caspar Myrrh Body Butter
I was expecting not to like this scent but I was left pleasantly surprised as it's actually quite nice. Rich and spicy it wouldn't be a scent I'd use all the time maybe if I wanted something different. The body butter itself is thick but not enough to leave you feeling greasy/oily. This would be perfect for people suffering with dry skin. I don't think the Myrrh scent would appeal to many people, it's also available in three others.

This is a brand I could see of lot of people liking because of the story behind each product. I love how at the back of each product it tells you a bit about each King or Queen that used the spice or herb. The sizes of each product is very generous and I can see them lasting a long time. If I was to recommend one particular scent from the range it would have to be Cinnamon Orange (my favourite).

Kings & Queens Bath and Body Collection is available to buy online.

A Shopaholic's Journey #10 - Christmas Sales and Bits

This post has been a long time coming. I wanted to put it up before New Years but I was pretty busy so it got a bit delayed. Being sick over Christmas ment I couldn't go into the sales on Stephen's Day. I was mildly disappointed that I couldn't but there was nothing I could do so there was no point moaning. Last Thursday, I went to Boots to have a look around. To be honest I wasn't really blown away with much stuff I seen on sale. All the Christmas Gift sets were half price so after browsing for a bit, I left with these!

Soap & Glory Yum At Heart set
I had seen this set before Christmas and needless to say I fell in love with it. Yum At Heart contains a full sized Hand Food and The Breakfast Scrub (my favourite). It also comes with a cute Soap & Glory apron which I think my Mom will love, so I'm going to give it to her. This set was such good value, I paid €10.75 for everything. Each product is worth more than this price so I made quite a saving.

Lipsy London Perfect Pamper set
This set was €6.75 down from €13.50. I would of never paid full price for this set as I don't think it would of been worth the money. All the products are minitatures that I'll get a few uses out of. I think they'd be great for my handbag and for holidays. The scent is gorgeous, very floral.

Accessorize Eau De Toilette set
I've always loved the floral scent of the Accessorize Eau De Toilette. It was €10 for the set which I couldn't really go wrong with. The set also contains a 100 ml body wash and body lotion which makes for great value.

17 Peep Show Mascara in Black
This mascara wasn't on sale but I was really intrigued to see what it's like. Peep Show contains lengthening fibres which claim to lengthen lashes aswell as adding volume. I've only used this once and so far so good I like. I'm going to pop up a review really soon.

These purchases were made better with the fact that I used my Boots Advantage points. I saved up €35 euro worth of points so I thought what better time to use them then during the sales!

I popped back into Boots to look at the perfume sets on sale and left with Vera Wang Lovestruck. I already own a bottle of this but I'm almost all out. I included Lovestruck in my favourites back in July, I  like the scent alot. The set was half price down to €24.75 so it was such a bargain.

I was disappointed that I couldn't go into the Lush Sale as I was sick. I was so happy when my parents popped into Lush when they were in town and got me all these goodies! I love Snow Fairy it has such a yummy scent. My Mom only bought me a large bottle a few weeks ago, so I'm going to keep this one for a backup for when the other runs out. Glogg is a part of the Christmas range too, I've never owned one before so I'm looking forward to trying it. Creamed Almond & Coconut Smoothie is a shower soap with a lovely vanilla scent which I enjoy using. I'm nearly all out the mini tub I got in my Seasons Greetings set so of course I was delighted with this. Last but not least another Snow Globe soap, words cannot describe how much I adore this. It's alot like Sexy Peel, even more citrusy if you could imagine. Snow Globe is just so refreshing, I wish it was available all year round. All these products are sure to last me well into 2012.

Here is some more stuff I picked up in my local pharmacy that wasn't on sale. I've heard alot of good things about both of the above Loreal products, Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara and Superliner Carbon Gloss. I also bought the Essence Circus Circus Longlasting Eyeshadow in 01 It's Magic. I thought this would look nice as a pop of colour all over my eyelid. I'm not going to go into these products too much as I want to wait and try them first. I shall let you know my thoughts soon!

I also bought a few things online (beautybay.com and Asos) last week with my Christmas money. They haven't arrived as of yet so I'll try to pop up another post when they do.

Have you grabbed any bargains during the sales?
